Isamu Noguchi
Isamu Noguchi was an American sculptor and designer with Japanese roots. Noguchi was born on 17.11.1904 in Los Angeles.

Noguchi's later professional career also took him to various European countries. This life in different cultural circles was also reflected in his artistic works.

In addition to his sculptural works, he always dealt with the design of objects of daily use.

The result of the combinations of sculptural forms with the formal side of design created a vast range of projects, subtle and traditional but at the same time daring and modern.

Isamu Noguchi was one of the pioneers in search for the perfect balance of furniture and art. Through the creation of the Coffee Table in 1947, Noguchi became known worldwide. Isamu Noguchi used two identical pieces of wood, mirrored and staggered to form a stable base, for a teardrop-shaped, round sleeved strong glass top.

Noguchi himself later described the coffee table as his best design. He died in New York City at the age of 84.
