Josef Hoffmann Armchair Kubus
The Josef Hoffmann armchair Kubus - as well as the accompanying sofa models (3-seater | 2-seater) are a true child of the "Quadratl-Hoffmann". The Hoffmann armchair is derived from Viennese Constructivism - considered to be the precursor of Josef Hoffmann's sofa model series.
It is believed that at that time the production of Hoffmann sofa models were intended for an exhibition. Therefore, the Kubus sofas were produced only in very small amounts.
Josef Hoffmann's special field indeedn was the organization of exhibitions. One of them took place in Buenos Aires in 1910, the year in which Josef Hoffmann's Kubus armchair was created.
Comparable to the Le Corbusier LC2 this armchair model shows a clear cubic shape. In comparison, the Hoffmann Kubus armchair appears more massive and thus transmits a completely different feeling.
For those who find the Le Corbusier LC2 armchair too delicate, the Hoffmann Kubus club armchair is a thoroughly dominant companion that perfectly interprets the concept of a club armchair.
This unique chair is handcrafted, its value is immediately recognizable and will guarantee years of pleasure.
