Le Corbusier (1887 – 1965)
whose real name was Charles-ƒdouard Jeanneret-Gris and who was of Swiss-French descent, was considered one of the most important designers and architects of the 20th century.

Corbusier worked as an artist - was a draftsman, painter and sculptor - later architect, urban planner and furniture designer.

Le Corbusier became famous for his furniture designs. His most famous works were the LC2 armchair, the LC1 Basculante chair, the LC4 chaise longue, the LC7 swivel chair, the LC6 dining room table, the LC3 two-seater sofa, the LC5 sofa. He derived his pseudonym Le Corbusier from his great-grandfather Charles l'Eplattenier, who furthermore was his teacher.

Origin
Already in 1928 Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand designed this impressive table model. Derived from the design idea, real masterpieces emerged which are still highly fashionable today. The timeless table was first presented at the Salon in Paris. Even then, the table was designed in two heights. The low version could be used as a coffee table. The high table model offered its user other practical possibilities - such as for working, eating or as a meeting place for communication.

Modern and up-to-date
Due to the table«s rather minimalistic design, a high affinity to the Bauhaus era is evident which seems to have been intentional. Remarkably, this table model is still highly up-to-date and modern today. Despite its 90-year design history.

Steel and glass as material
The symbiosis of steel and glass allows rigidity and leisure to correlate with each other. This creates a contrast that generates tension and at the same time is an expression of unique aesthetics. Steel and glass are also both used in their main characteristics in the industry. A completely new design originated from this symbiosis. Hard yet light and casually provided with a clear line. Industrial design was born and the time of solid furniture was over.

Available in many variants
The armchair can be ordered in different variations of leather or in fabric. Frame and tubular steel frames are high-gloss chrome-plated or can be painted in all common RAL-colours.

Craftsmanship from Tuscany
Tuscan craftsmanship Made in Italy impresses with a long experience and thus guarantees a high-quality finish of all models. Nothing is more aesthetically shameful than a cheap copy that reveals itself as such at first sight.
