Le Corbusier Armchair LC3

Le Corbusier armchair LC3 is a variant of the famous "Petit Modele" and has gone down in design history as a ladyÕs armchair. Lower, wider and more tightly upholstered, this model variant is an interesting alternative or even complement to the "armchair of the century".

Armchair with chromed tubular steel frame and loosely inserted leather cushions. Upholstery lined with down. The frame is bent from one continuous tube and shows no signs of welding seams at the corners.

Please note that in the leather category BUSINESS, seat cushions do not have down filling.

As all of our furniture, this design classic is handcrafted in select Italian workshops.

Le Corbusier (1887 – 1965)
whose real name was Charles-Edouard Jeanneret-Gris and who was of Swiss-French descent, was considered one of the most important designers and architects of the 20th century.

Corbusier worked as an artist - was a draftsman, painter and sculptor - later architect, urban planner and furniture designer.

Le Corbusier became famous for his furniture designs. His most famous works were the LC2 armchair, the LC1 Basculante chair, the LC4 chaise longue, the LC7 swivel chair, the LC6 dining room table, the LC3 two-seater sofa, the LC5 sofa. He derived his pseudonym Le Corbusier from his great-grandfather Charles l'Eplattenier, who furthermore was his teacher.

The armchair can be ordered in different variations of leather or in fabric. Frame and tubular steel frames are high-gloss chrome-plated or can be painted in all common RAL-colours.
